  • Reporting directly into the Head of Solution Centre, you will be responsible for the contribution to the roadmap, definition and implementation of a QA and test strategy across the company in line with both technical and business goals
  • Coordinating QA team’s (upwards of 70 Test Engineers), delegating tasks to management, risks, dependencies, financial management and service requirements at an organisational level, to enable the successful delivery of QA and test solutions
  • Responsible for the overall delivery of QA and test analysis within an agile environment, assisting with the transition from an existing Waterfall methodology including the overall development of user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Ensuring and advising on the use of analytical techniques including risk based testing and formal test analysis and design techniques where appropriate
  • Enabling the evaluation of aspects of user experience, accessibility, compatibility and basic load and performance where appropriate and as part of the wider QA and test strategy
  • Leading innovation and promoting the use of a broad range of tools, including open source and cloud based, to support QA to enable the implementation of test automation by training, mentoring and upskilling where necessary, teams’ of manual testers and introducing Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) and Test-driven development (TDD) across the department
  • Conducting performance reviews, playing a pivotal role in the restructuring and subsequent future growth of the QA Teams
Required skills:
  • Strong background heading up QA functions, ideally within Financial Services (FS) in fast paced Agile environments
  • Experience of leading a big teams
  • Selenium WebDriver, Jira/Confluence, Cucumber and CI tooling such as Jenkins, Octopus Deploy or TeamCity
  • Experience of Waterfall to Agile transformations
